Are you sure it’s a mini-series of shorts? I’d love it to be the case, but it’s being released on Discovery Family, not just Discovery Family GO, like EQG shorts, and in the presser it says “and short form content on the MY LITTLE PONY YouTube channel”, which I read as - there will be a show on Discovery Family and shorts or clips on Youtube. Though I do think that it won’t be a long series and it’s here just to have something going until the movie comes out.

It’s also being posted on YouTube. They never go past 11 minutes and that’s only for Equestria girls specials the rest of them are no longer than 4

Yeah, but what I mean is that from the presser I didn’t got the impression that the whole show will be short form, rather that there will be something short form on Youtube, but the show itself will be normal length.

I dont even know when will this shorts gonna be released. Does this have a date already?

G4 Had 9 Seasons & ENDED Greatly imho so it completed its story, TTG was a replacement for an unfinished story that made me Eh at 1st. This is literally just BonusFiller so I see no issue”

And so far, Spike doesn’t appear to have his wings. Maybe when we get more shots of him (or her?) in different angles, we would see if that’s actually the case.

I noticed how some people are comparing the backlash to how the sonic backlash got the design changed.  
However the filmmakers never actually wanted the super realistic design the backlash just help them persuade paramount to let them get their way.also as I recall the sonic people were actually saying what was wrong with the design

I mean, in case of Sonic, only the blind couldn’t tell what’s wrong with the design. Here it’s a lot less obvious, because the main problem that people are saying again and again is that it looks like TTGO, which doesn’t mean that the design is bad, it just evokes an unfortunate association.
 
Sonic’s redesign is an outlier in a sense that redesigns based on fan criticism usually don’t happen. So no one should really expect that if we complain enough they will change something about Pony Life.
 
For me personally there’s nothing wrong with the design or an artstyle by itself - it fits what they are going for - a more comedic and wacky take on mlp:fim. The problem for me personally is that they aren’t making their own unique show with their own unique characters, they’re taking mane six and world of fim and warping it to fit into this new direction. That just doesn’t feel right. And that’s not something you can fix with a redesign.

According to Hasbro, it’s going to be more like “Seinfeld,” so it might not be as crazy, or mean-spirited as TTG.  
Besides, it’s MLP, I don’t think Hasbro would want it just like TTG. (A TVPG show, BTW.)

I believe Teen Titans Go would directly insult the original show and its audience.  
The Return of Slade is a good example of that. it almost feels like it’s saying the original show was just a dumb kid show and people were blinded by nostalgia

Sure TTG takes the hate a bit to far some times but 03 Teen Titans aren’t nearly as dark and serious as people think it is. There were plenty of comedy episodes and really dumb childish jokes, in the same vein as jokes in TTG, in the show as well. It had its serious points but not to the level some fans think it did.
 
Also, the art style of a show does not indicate how the show will be written. Do we even know the writing staff for Pony Life yet anyway? That would be the indicator of how it will likely be handled

As far as I know Hasbro didn’t draw any comparisons to Seinfeld. The only mention of it I saw in this article. Hasbro’s wording in their presser is “hilarious, “SLICE OF LIFE” stories that modern kids can relate to”, which could be anything (all caps part is not my edit, it’s from the presser). Could be TTGO, could be anything else, but since it looks like TTGO - that’s what people are going to compare it to.
 
I’d love to have an actual trailer, because all we’ve seen are promo images and a toy commercial, and Hasbro has a history of making both of those look worse then the actual show.

I hope Pony Life is very mean-spirited and contradicts the lessons in FiM for funny jokes, personally.

Sometimes trailers aren’t always accurate either. The first Sonic the Hedgehog movie trailer kinda made the movie look mediocre, or bad depending on whom you ask. (The controversial original design aside.)  
But the second one actually made it look almost “Detective Pikachu” levels of fun & funny.
 
And in fairness, we’ve seen officially zero footage of any actual “Pony Life” episodes.

People tried telling them that when the “lipstick” EqG toy ad designs were shown online for the first time in 2013. (Which as you know differ much from the actual EqG movies/shorts.) So this is nothing new.

That’s not exactly the accuracy I’m talking about. I’m just talking about an actual footage from the show so we could actually tell how it’s gonna look like. There is a range of possibilities and it could turn out that none of them is entirely accurate.

I mean, when people have nothing better to make their judgements on - they’ll base them on a toy commercial. Oh Hasbro, always with their toy commercials first and show accurate footage later.

You want to know the sad thing of MLP:FiM being over? There won’t be another show like that isn’t afraid to shake the status quo and make big changes ever again… the Chat Blanc episode from Miraculous Ladybug was the definitive evidence of that for me…

And I don’t know if this is fair to say, but the Sonic trailer was more mainstream than the Pony Life trailer so that one got the most backlash and criticism by pretty much the entire Internet compared to MLP where the only ones complaining about it is a certain subset of people in a fandom on the Internet.
