I absolutely support this - the writers had a goal in mind, but that doesn’t mean that other relationships can’t exist off screen. I do seem to remember a brief falling out between the two, but mostly I wanted to point out that Twist never betrayed AB. I’m pretty sure.

I don’t know, it was never really implied AB or Twist dumped the other as a friend, we just don’t see them interact much. They did interact a li’l in “Cutie-Pox,” I recall.
 
It might also be possible Twist & Bloom were never really “close-friends,” and just hung out/talked sometimes. It is possible for the CMC to have other friends besides each other, they just mostly stick together usually.

I was under the impression that all Twist did was get her cutie mark. Applebloom took this as a betrayal because children are totally illogical, pretty much dumped Twist as a friend, and then the writers forgot that she ever existed. Although I may have to re-watch the episode.

This idea does offer some funny ideas actually.

Oddly, there are a few popular ones like “ChrysalisXFluffle.” (I never understood why that pairing was so popular, and ironically it started off as a crack/joke-pairing.) But yeah, the fanabse tends to usually look down on those OCxCanon pairings, or “crossover series” pairings. (Unless it’s a series they really really like.)

Perhaps you can give us ideas that have less to do with shipping and more to do with other genres such as adventure and slice-of-life, these two things are more likely to be in an episode.

The thing is that a lot of people in the fandom despise the idea of canon x of shipping, especially if the oc is a male and the canon character is a female. Heck, just look what happened to Flash and he is canon. Just my impression from observation.

She was mildly annoying to people for little things, like her lisp, nerdy look, or betrayal of Apple Bloom, but i think ‘hating’ her just became a popular joke to many, rarely taken as earnest.

Throw in some more fillies and you have a child harem story.

And he winds up spending time with Twist.
