The plastic riot shields are for deflecting mostly hand thrown objects such as rocks and bottles, and knives and sticks used at close range.  

 
Ballistic shields are the ones the military and SWAT use for blocking projectiles fired from fire arms and Molotovs.  

 
But on the part where you mentioned that the shield deflect RPGs. That is unrealistic. The force from the explosion is going to kill or seriously injure the target holding the shield. RPG are also made to penetrate thin vehicle armor.

That’s kind of what an ad hominem is… You lambast the person making the argument, directing attention away from the argument itself. However, in this squabble, it is a little equivocal. You’re attacking his ability to argue while an ad hominem you usually attack the person’s character. But, anyway, I need to stop speaking of semantics.
 
Also, in the interest of full disclosure, I will share my bias on the issue. I lean towards restricting Muslim immigration to Europe. Yes, Europe needs migrants for its workforce, (its population will decrease without them) but some cultures don’t blend well with others. And, yes, the large majority of Muslims are good people. And to clarify, Islam is a religion, and a religion is a set of beliefs and ideas. I can chide ideas of a religion and not hate the people who believing it. But there needs to be a reformation in Islam, just as there was in Christianity. And until then, the amount of Muslim migrants, most of them highly unscreened, needs to decrease in Europe now.
