My step mom had a son with my dad in October 2005. My mom had a son with my step dad in Novermber 2005. Spike and Twilight have a more complex relationship than my two half brothers and their families. XD
(I was going to use Nami and her mother and sister as a reference, but whatever. XD )
I think their relationship being complicated is just right. They’re a lot of things to each other at once, there’s not a simple name for it.
Applejack and Apple Bloom have a sister relationship. Then recall “Somepony to Watch Over Me”.
Not tucking in your co-workers or giving them a loving kiss goodnight, you’re a terrible co-worker.
I don’t know if I’d give my co-worker a bath or tuck them into bed, no matter how close we were.
It’s pretty much a mix, as I see it.
Ok. But you “See” them in a sibling relationship (in a way). Others “See” it as a Mother/Son relationship (myself included). And others ship the two in romance.
However, the real deal between the two is that they are Close Friends. Nothing past that until stated otherwise by the people who work on the show itself.
You know, sometimes I like to think Celestia wanted Spike as a son but he evidently prefered Twilight, therefore Celestia now lives in continuous pain knowing that her long desired son doesnt love her and has a bitter jealousy towards Twilight.
