You understood the point, I wasn’t going off of distance, and she’s a Background character, we can’t expect her to be seen in every/every other episode, and you’re right. A suburbia city like Ponyville probably doesn’t have much jobs for a cellist. So even in that regard the more cultured environment of Canterlot makes more sense, my analogy was simply City X, City Y, and I picked the first two that came to mind. I didn’t even think about the distance between Ponyville and Canterlot compared to the distance between NYC and Detroit.
 
Listen, I don’t want to argue, I may have a client who wants me to help him by providing some artwork. And all I was getting at was that putting her in Ponyville was illogical, and doing so just so she could be roommates with Vinyl to pander to the fandom was just plain idiotic.

We only saw her three times in the main universe before Slice of Life; twice in Canterlot, and once in Ponyville. That’s not nearly enough of a sample to get a feeling for where she lives from where she hangs out alone.
 
Ponyville and Canterlot are within an hour or two travel distance, unlike Detroit and New York City, and Ponyville likely isn’t the type of place that would have a lot of jobs for someone who plays the cello, so it’s not a very close analogy. A closer analogy would be if someone appeared mostly in New York City, but appeared sometimes in the suburbs of New York City.

Aye, but by theme we’ve seen her more in Canterlot then Ponyville, in thus it was safer to say she lived there.  
If a man was seen 27 times in New York City, but was also seen 3 times in Detroit, where would be the most logical conclusion of where he lived?
 
I’m going off of pre-100 sightings, and either way I don’t like the magical teleportation, as it was done only to please the fandom. M.A Larson is one of the best writers on the team, and has been one of the most creative. (IMO) I hated to see him just rely on popular head-canon because that’s what Hasbro knew people wanted.

Okay that first one was crap but those other ones didn’t have a bunch of stuff thrown in it was just text and this pic would have benefited more from just being text instead of being a jumbled mess, maybe it’s not the quality I don’t know I’m not a walking census taker I agree with the picture but the execution could have been better.

Slice of Life was one of the best episode ever and even the pro-reviewers on Youtube had to complain. I mean, WTF is wrong with you guys? You are IMPOSSIBLE to please. So STFU and leave the fokking fandom already.

To be fair, most of /mlp/ loved the 100th episode.
