I don’t know what “it” is, but G3 Moony is real. The screencap and toy pic below are the real deal. Sadly she’s mostly a background pony. (Amusingly enough, she once stands with Sunny Daze. My headcanon is that after ascension and a few thousand years they’re currently known by new names…)

Eh, I feel more like her body body is reminiscent more of her white version yellowing, and her White version was in all the media anyway. Several early G1 ponies had colors changed randomly in other countries, to say nothing of the countless hundreds of different country-made variants…

Yellow Moondancer was only sold in a few countries–Austria and Germany, I think. But yeah, it was great seeing her in this episode!
