Also worth to mention that people love to have sex with characters with more depth in characters more, also the romantic feelings aren’t in the way of the desire to draw porn (Disney could have more porn if less romantic).
 
It is why Touhou may be humanoid, but still has lots of porn, since the characters have depth as you can feel while the characters in game are having conversations (I played in English). Being humanoid, yes, it can’t beat MLP and Pokemon, which are furry non-humanoid.

It seems that people tend to shy away from pure human porn as for legitimate reasons or find pure human porn boring.

MLP is much more well known world wide and age wide compared to Touhou, but Pokemon is even more of those than MLP, you see Pokemon almost everywhere compared to MLP, but rarely ever see Touhou at all.

It’s worth noting that this is rule 34 porn images, but not comics. Rule34.paheal.net doesn’t allow comics larger than 8 pages. If they did, Touhou would have much more content.

Quite frankly I don’t believe half of the figures on this chart (the ones on the Japanese games/animation), because it would imply over half of the Touhou porn to ever be created is on danbooru.

I think the base problem with searching for “r34” is that “rule 35” is a western phenomenon. The Japanese don’t use it. It’s just ‘ecchi’ or ‘hentai’ or ‘r-18’ or some such. I would expect the figures on the japanese games (Pokemon, Touhou, Street Fighter, Sonic, Digimon, Super Mario Brothers) are at least an order of magnitude greater than this chart plots.
 
Yes, that means add a zero at the end of every one of those — MLP doesn’t even beat out SMB in total images, and Naruto beats MLP in terms of gain rate. We’ve got a long way to go yet.
 
Reitaisai has an entire section dedicated to R-18 material. Reitaisai is one of several comic conventions dedicated to the Touhou fandom. That’s how fucking insane the Touhou fandom is. Add to that the normal comic conventions, and add in the fact that the Touhou fandom is a good decade old, and that’s easily tens of millions of images just of Touhou. If even one percent of that is porn (and I doubt that it’s that low)… good god… that’s a lot of waki miko nyan nyan!
 
That said, within the population of japanese naughty images, the proportions are probably very close to the chart portrays, and similarly with the western naughty images. It’s just that we cannot compare east to west using this simplistic approach.
