Well I’ll at least apologize for getting involved here, even if I’m not sorry enough not to.

Castle Sweet Castle has been addressed how wrong you are. Spike carrying her bags and doing various odd jobs for her, honestly we never see her manipulate him into doing so, it is very much in Spike’s character to do so just because it’s Rarity, and we have seen him receive forms of compensation for.

And for the Fire Ruby, oh boy. Rarity absolutely did not manipulate him. She wanted it, yes, this was obvious. But this was obvious despite her utmost efforts to hide wanting it. Her being bad at hiding her emotions regarding the rare, expensive, shiny jewel (that Spike was going to eat) does not equal manipulation. Having feelings is not being manipulative. Spike knew Rarity was genuinely going to let him eat something that honestly probably would have been more valuable to her (as more than just a snack), and chose to give it to her, manipulation not required. And after that it was shown to have even more value to her, as a gift from a friend who personally sacrificed it for her sake - kind of what ends up solving that episode, you may recall. And honestly, does rarity even need to manipulate Spike? He’s kind of a complete idiot when it comes to her. And that’s on him. ‘But she uses it against him’ you claim but have yet to sufficiently provide evidence not blatantly tainted by personal bias and easily argued against for.

The comics, despite being a kind of dumb flanderization-pot for all the characters, also don’t really support your argument, as Rarity is more likely to fall for every other stallion than manipulate them. Her ‘thing’ in the comics seems to be random doomed crushes - not manipulation. I’m not sure you understand what a manipulative bitch is. I’m not sure you’ve yet reached the point where you’ve managed to separate ‘femininity’ from ‘evil female mind-control powers’, even, if just having and using ‘feminine charms’ counts. Hang out with some feminine women some time. They’re not as evil as you think they are.

No, no, you’re absolutely right. Rarity IS a manipulative stuck up bitch.

Such a horrible character. I’m surprised the rest of the ponies even associate themselves with her.

Such a mean pony.

“just using her feminine charms counts.”
Once again, not when they where ALL in on the plane, and Spike swoons over her even when she isn’t doing anything, so to count Castle Sweet Castle is to look more like you pointlessly hate Rarity and will scrape the bottom of the barrel for reasons to call her a bitch,

You can’t count the one from Castle Sweet Castle as her being a manipulative bitch because they where all working oh fixing the place up for Twi and had put Spike in charge of keeping her busy, it’s not being manipulative when he was part of the plan, heck even even thought to stall for longer on his own later, and then Dash signed him later on to do the same.
And Rarity said before batting her eyelashes “Spike, you’ve got to get back to that spa and stall her! Whatever you do, don’t let her come home!” and “Uh, yes, well, uh, maybe you could manage it ’til… sunset-ish?”

Hahahah! Yu mad Rarity husbando! XD

@Marvelous TK
You don’t say? :D There are multiple instances where Rarity takes advantage of Spike: she often gets him to carry her heavy bags, manipulated him into stalling Twilight by simply batting her eyes in “Castle sweet castle”, manipulated him to give her that fire ruby in “Secret of my excess”, the list goes on… Just rewatch some scenes. You might notice it.

On Rarity- this is how relationships tend to work. Where do you think St. Valentines Day evolved from?
