I was working on color keying the CMC’s gala dresses when I notices particularly in this shot how all three have predominant symbols on this ear decoration, and started to realize how close they could be to effective CMs:
Apple Bloom’s piece is very close to what a an apple blossom flower is:
Scootaloo’s is a dragonfly, which arguably describes how Scoots is able to move quickly with a similar fast wing-beating pattern via scooter.
The only one that’s not sure but isn’t so far out of reason is the flower for Sweetie Belle, it looks like a tulip to me (Though as convo below shows, its more like a bellflower) If anything, this still ascribes her creative side.
This could just be a tin-foil hat theory too :)

The two things you can be certain of in MLP season 5 are thinly-veiled references to death, and cutie marks.
The thing is, this season has been mentioned by the creators to be centered a lot of around cutiemarks, and it has already been the center of quite a few episodes this season. So that they will get their cutie marks this season, or at least set it up this season, is very likely.
I’ve just seen this kind of ‘leak’ / ‘theory’ / ‘reveal’ before since Season 1, in fact and it’s all just been speculation.

At first i thought too, but then i agreed with the others, brilliant. Mostly because it would show that these three have cutie marks with similar themes! Considering how close they are, this seems the most appropriate

The flowers are like the flower smiley-face stickers that Japanese elementary school teachers give their students for good work/behavior.
if smiling flowers can mean teacher I don’t see why that flower couldn’t mean singer

Somepony said that Bloom and Gloom suggests AB might be a mad scientist.
The flower refers to apple blossoms, referring to Apple Bloom’s name. The flower is a bellflower, referring to Sweetie Belle’s name. Lastly a dragonfly, referring to how Scoots rapidly flaps her wings while using her scooter.
And Apple Bloom is good at construction.

But I’m going to have to wait and see if this turns out to be the truth.
