I swear, this will never make me not laugh.
That Atomic Energy Laboratory is testament to how crazy our grandaddies’ generation was when it came to toys. They allowed children to play with flareguns, mini tech ed workshops with real spinning saws, and I believe Hasbro’s Easy Bake Oven had its beginnings in the 60s.
It’s probably for the best really. If memory serves, those toys were actually really dangerous. They flew into people’s faces and the hard plastic wings/propeller blades knocked out teeth, cause temporary blindness, and were responsible for at least one concussion. ^source

…That is wrong on several levels.
For starters, you’re a horse, you’d be painting your hooves. :P
I don’t think she’s suppressing all of her real self, I think the jock part is genuine too.
And the analogy wasn’t perfect, big deal. :P Though yes, Rarity does it by choice, I’ll give you that. Fluttershy, on the other hand, generally doesn’t have her little… episodes… on purpose.

Except make it so that it only happens every couple of loops, so people don’t expect it. X3
Main difference is Rarity is still Rarity when she fights stuff, like when she goes against the teenage dragons, it’s her choice to do so. Flutters is a little bipolar, she’s not consiously doing it when she goes crazy.
Rainbow Dash is always actively suppressing her girlyness to keep an image of toughness, her slips consist in her dropping that image and her real self coming out.
