For the last time man, those things you pull from your ass are not actual percentanges.  
There are people who hate Spike because he gets in the way of their perfect lesbian pony fantasies and/or their deep jealously at the male who gets to hand around them when they can only masturbate while thinking how that must feel.  
But the percentage of people who simply want him out because of it its not the majority.

Really? Cause I reckon MOST people want Spike to join the adventures, me included.
 
Unfortunately, this two-parter seems to rely heavily on loss of cutie marks, so I can see how fitting Spike into it would be an issue.

Luckily, the percentage of people who want to see him merged more thoroughly into the group is too small to change anything, so the much higher percentage of folks who hate seeing Spike drag down their pure mane six stories will continue having a blast.

Looking at their positioning in the mountain scene, I’d say it takes place right before this happens >>827953.
 
And based on their expressions (which don’t look threatening) they are probably going to attemp Talk-no-Jutsu on Starlight… and it’s not going to work.
