You’re right, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have taken my dislike of this pairing here. You’re a talented artist and I didn’t want to sound like a hater of your art.
 
It’s just… I have issues with Mauxie and its fans. To sum it up, I have been attacked by several Mauxie fans, even before I grew to dislike the shipping. Long story. But this time for real, I’m going to end this confrontation. So I’m sorry, I hope you will accept my apology and I will refrain from commenting here further.

Your interpretation of both characters is as non-canon as any other, even less so considering you ignore canon elements and “semi”-canon elements. And all to portray both characters in a very negative fashion; Trixie as someone out to harm people and is incapable of good, and Maud as someone that would murder or cause serious physical harm to someone else over the magical version of putting tape over their mouth for a day.
 
I’d rather live in my la-la land where people grow internally, connect with others, and aren’t violent psychopaths, rather than with whatever headcanons you seem to have.

Assuming Trixie would have any intention to harm Pinkie is as much not-canon as Fou’s comic. Even more, considering the comics, which are at least semi-canon.

And as above, inferring any purpose in Trixie putting on the amulet other than “to best Twilight” is as non-canon as any other interpretation. Thinking that she wanted to specifically harm people as a goal and ignoring the spelled-out “it made her crazy and evil” and Twilight’s “this isn’t her”, plus Trixie’s apology at the end, isn’t just not-canon, it’s against what’s in the show. For the sake of I don’t know what twisted interpretation you have of the character.

I don’t read the comics, so no, I don’t consider them canon.
 
Also, in the episode it specifically shows Trixie buying the amulet, so…

She probably wanted to inflict some form of suffering on Pinkie all this time, and getting the amulet only gave her the power to do that, and the power was what corrupted her further.
 
Taking Fou’s comic out of the equation, Trixie had no prior animosity towards Pinkie Pie on a personal level. Pinkie Pie didn’t even have a line in Boast Busters.

The fanon for this ship is that Maud bought her the amulet as a gift.
 
The canon is (almost certainly) Trixie bought the amulet to best Twilight, and went progressively more insane and evil as she used it. It’s literally explained that the wrongs she did while wearing the thing were due to its corruptive influence.
 
And if you take the comics as canon, Trixie is shown as a good person that’s a friend of the M6, helped save Ponyville, had an adventure with Dash during which it was shown she pacified the Diamond Dogs, and worked pro-bono with the police to catch a thief.

Obviously because she wanted to get revenge on Twilight and her friends. I think everyone’s forgetting that Trixie wasn’t in control of herself while under the influence of the Alicorn Amulet. It was slowly corrupting her, and probably affecting her judgement. That’s something that neither Trixie or Maud likely knew would happen. Trixie also was regretful for her actions once she was “cured” of the Amulet’s effects, so it’s not really a stretch that Maud, while probably not too happy about it, was willing to forgive Trixie for just… magically making her sister unable to talk for a while.

Back to the picture. I didn’t realize you liked Mauxie, Smiling, and I’m impressed. I think the outfits are my favourite part.
