Yeah, I remember “Yoshi’s Cookie,” and the DKC trilogy were removed there first, and then it followed in the USA…
Though, I hear the DKC trilogy was recently put back on the European Virtual Console, and Japan has the DK Land trilogy for the 3DS VC/Eshop now. So we might get the DKC trilogy back, (and the Gameboy DKL trilogy, as well) hopefully.

(Also, sad news, I hear the Gameboy Tetris is being taken off the 3DS Virtual Console in Europe, which means they might remove it here soon to.)
