Night Light: Mommy was going to teach me a new spell today and then she had to go, I’m angry at auntie Celestia for taking her away again!
 
Starburst: Mom will be back by night, don’t be a crybaby!

Nightlight: You cried when Daddy went away last month!

Flash sighed and sat down unfolding his wings and drawing both Starburst and Nightlight in a tight embrace, lowering his head to their level.
 
Flash: listen, it’s ok to be upset because you miss Mommy and it’s ok to cry if you miss me (looks at Starburst) We love you very much and we know that it’s hard when me or Twilight are not here but we’ve talked about this and you are big ponies so you understand that sometimes I have to take care not for only you and Mommy but for Equestria too, right? Mommy has to do the same thing sometimes.
 
Starburst: But…
 
Flash: I know it’s hard, but you’re my tough girl and you are my little genius , sure you can handle it mhm?
 
Starburst: Yes sir!
 
Nightlight: I guess…
 
Flash: Now… what if I take you for ice cream and then we go have fun at Cloudsdale!
 
Starburst: but, Mom said we shouldn’t go to Cloudsdale
 
Flash grins at them
 
Flash: But Mommy’s not here…
 
Nighlight: can-can I cast the walking on clouds spell!
 
Flash: of course!
 
Starburst: can we go see the air Jousting match!
 
Flash: Yes! BUT, only if you promise me to be good to eachother
 
Star and Nighty: AAAAAWWWWW DAAAAD!!!

Star and Nighty: Fiiiiine.

Twilight teleports back to her home

*Twilight finds Flash, Starburst and Nightlight all huddled up sleeping together, around them, souvenirs from Cloudsdale’s coliseum as wel as an open spell book describing the walking on clouds spell.
