Also, if you EVA, you can retrieve science from whatever device you used, then store it in the capsule. That way you only have to return the capsule from any missions.
@Cirrus Light
No? If you crash in KSP and somehow managed to keep your speed below 45m/s, you CAN survive. (Just don’t think you’ll save kermoney, because only the capsule will survive.) Or you can just put grinders to cushion the landing.
I’ve crashed at 50m/s once, blew up everything except the command pod. (Science! Noo!)
Seriously tho. Jebediah Kerman is one hardcore character. He just laughs in the face of death. He’s just that hardcore. He’d like, I dunno, crash a freakin’ full Kerbodyne tank with nine NTR’s on it into Tirek at 12,000 m/s plus because BOOSTERS, and drive away from it in a convertable with shades.
@Agent Tasmania
It’s obviously not really true to KSP gameplay since he’d be dead if he didn’t land in the stock game. I’m just having fun with the idea of his character being an extreme thrillmaster. Why land when ejecting is faster? :p
Also, ran out of fuel in orbit around Kerbin on return? Why did you bother capturing into Kerbin orbit on the way back from the mun? Just go straight into the atmosphere like they did in Apollo :p
Hey, I landed him every single time.
Once in career mode, i even sent a recovery mission when my first Mun mission ran out of fuel in orbit around kerbin on return.
Your very first comment about crashing and dying.
No to what?

This makes me wish I could “like” comments :D
/At the space center, we needed to build a lithobraking simulator because we’d decided it’d be an excellent technique for landing kerbals on Duna.
We decided to just get a car and roll it down a hill./
Try watching videos by Scott Manley, that should help you with the basic stuff as well as the advanced stuff. Here’s his channel https://www.youtube.com/user/szyzyg
Campaign mode, didn’t have any RCS and haven’t got any clue how to use them.
@Cirrus Light
It was highly eliptical, I anticipated running out of fuel so I got it orbit so it wouldn’t slingshot back off into space.
You can use that too
That is all.
Docking mode?
Back in my day we used HNIJKL
You do know you can use RCS and docking mode to get back to Kerbin if you have enough right?
