Well even if they did add them ironically, anyone who followed the tag over the last five months must’ve either agreed with it, or was too lazy to remove it. XD
Oh. It just seemed to fit in with the joke, that’s all.
(Or maybe the BP did get the joke and added those tags ironically.)
Well according to “tag changes”, “Background Pony” made added the tags of “anaconda”, “snake”, and “love triangle” five months ago, so they likely thought it was, in fact, a reptile, rather then a double entendre.
Just because you and I understand the joke doesn’t mean someone else didn’t.
I thought it was part of the joke. You know, a double entendre.
There’s the “obvious to those who can see the joke”, but some don’t, and to them, they take a more… literal approach to the joke; that there’s an actual anaconda Spike owns as a pet that she prefers over him.
The tag, though, IS irrelevant to the actual, seemingly obvious joke.
