By powerscaling though, he should up there with the princesses as he grows.
Reason behind the shining armour, Cadance and Spike should be a team due to the equestria games ep and the fact they were next to each in the tag for the artist they were next to each other and looked cool. But i do prefer Spike and CMC as a team I dont know it works
In sense, Spike does fulfill that role. Technically, you could have all four Princess be a single squad. But I think he’s best with the CMC.
It’s only fitting that the guy who breathes fire has a weapon that uses fire.
