‘weeks’ sounds a bit short of a guess. Erosion takes a lot longer than that unless the cliff is made of something unusually soluble or generally weak.
The bigger issue would be when the river floods.
On the other hand, fuck logic, I would totally want to live in a setup like that because water and waterfalls and forests just deeply appeal to my fantasy landscape interests.
My character’s is carved into a cliff by the side of a lake, with the front entrance mostly obscured by a waterfall.
Still would be amazing to live there for the few weeks that house would remain standing.
C’mon, he’s an awesome guy!
Back to the picture…I’d be nervous living near a waterfall, especially at the top.
