If you want an emo character, how about Sunset Shimmer is the first villain, repents, and spents the rest of the series angsting about how horrible she was even when the current bad guy is doing things that make her past sins look like jaywalking by comparison?
“Hot-blooded”. That’s the word(s) I was looking for. Dash would be the hot-blooded one, in charge of shouting and punching (well, kicking). She may wear goggles or sunglasses.
Disagree entirely. She’d be the thrill-seeker who gets involved in random fights and competitions and anything she can try to win, just ‘cause it’s fun. “At this rate, the only thing you’ll kill me with is boredom!”
Spike would be smaller, with bigger eyes and ears, would speak in pokespeak, and be on all the merchandise even though everyone in real life hated him.
Applejack would be a samurai who sliced apples from the trees to make saki from (Yes I know saki is rice wine btw).
Rainbow Dash would be the brooding revenge driven emo (Think Sasuke from Naruto) who’s entire clan was wiped out by Evil McBad Guy.
Fluttershy would be identical in every way shape and form.
Pinkie Pie would have an obnoxiously high-pitched voice, talk even more than she does on the show already, and constantly hit other ponies over the head with a hammer from nowhere for no valid reason, yet they would still hang out with her for no valid reason.
Rarity would be the two-dimensional Tsundere who was a complete jackass to the harem male star but deep down loved him and called him a Baka (whatever that means). You could expect lots of blushing scenes from her, you know where she’s frowning and it zooms in on her blush and she gets all flustered with the white circles for eyes and big gaping square mouth.
Twilight Sparkle would have a five minute magical girl stock-footage transformation sequence in every single episode that would solve every single problem by killing the monster of the week with no effort whatsoever.
Flash Sentry would be a main character right from the get-go. There’d also be a guy in a mask who threw roses that did barely anything who was totally not Flash Sentry.
There would also be a harem male character who is the typical lonely loser everyman who suddenly has six mares hot for him even though he’s the most uninteresting person on the planet Inb4 Flash Sentry joke
