I made the same mistake too.
3D World has the reserve item system, but you get one extra slot per player. I haven’t played enough multiplayer to get a good feel of how it works, but I think it’s a stack that anyone can pull from the top rather than having specific slots to themselves.
I wasted a free P-Wing.
I haven’t seen footage of the map overworlds yet, so I’m guessing it’s still “one item”.
Yeah, I think so, the portable ones use the SMW “one extra reserve item” feature instead. Don’t know which one the new “SM3D World” (WiiU) uses though.
There was one map screen inventory in New Super Mario Bros, Wii and Wii U, right?
Yeah, I think I kinda prefer the map screen inventory personally as opposed to carrying only one spare item ala “Super Mario World.”
If you’re referring to that item bar on the map screen that holds multiple items, no. You can only carry one item at a time in recent games.
