In essence I suppose it is better. Spike is a child himself and child-child is more acceptable, and healthy, than child-adult.

Actually… ehr, yes, writing was bad. But the biggest problem is the way the comic is funded: It’s donation-funded, and the donators wanted more story in what was basically a clop-comic.
 
The end-result was not pretty. Worse still is that multiple people are writing the dialogue for the artist who, well…
 
Imagine those stories where a story is built in a forum thread, post-by-post, by different people, none of which have any plan or idea where the story is headed.
 
That’s basically what happened with Dragon You Over.

if you talked to the guy who made it, he knows how bad it is, which is why he doesn’t care about reviews. The art is fine, its the dude who is doing the writing. Problem is he’s one of those “my writing is good and no one else can see why” sort of people, so reviews are really just haters complaining to him.

Well it’d be logical to do so if they didn’t want people to ‘donate’ to continue the comic. If you want people to give you money for something, you should care what they think about it.
