how old is it?

Cloudsdale is canonically a city made of clouds. It is populated by pegasi. The pegasi who live there must either a) piss into the clouds, b) piss through holes in the clouds, c) piss over the edges of the clouds, or d) fly away and piss some distance from the clouds. Even if they all ridiculously try to fly down to the ground every time they have to piss, it’s a given that some will wait too long at least some of the time, and have to use a) through d). Even if they have plumbing, matter has to be conserved; it goes somewhere, and that somewhere is down.
 
One way or another, the unicorns and earth ponies below are getting golden pegashowers.

Does this mean that when it snows in certain parts of Equestria, it is yellow snow?

In my headcanon, such an act is illegal and punishable by a hefty bit fine or possible jail time.
