She very nearly destroyed all magic in their world and literally upended their civilization as they know it right under everybody else’s noses, so what could her parents even do? Ground her? I somehow doubt that’d really stop Cozy from trying again. If anything, punishing her might just motivate her to try harder.
I know the canon Tartarus solution has its ethical problems, and as such I won’t try to defend it. But Cozy still proved herself far more dangerous here than a mere misbehaving child, and I think trying to treat her as if she is would only be gravely underestimating her…and you might not be so lucky stopping her should she decide to try again, or attempt any other like scheme.
Filly or not, she’s still a dangerous villain. Treat her like one. If that means trying to reform her, fine, but don’t act like she’s anything less than that.
