Likewise my father. He understood his role to be the provider for the family, and by that standard he did a very good job. But he wasn’t much for father-son stuff (and even less for father-daughter).

But I identify much more with the green dude than with Peach.

Ah, no wonder I relate to Peach like I do. My father and I didn’t really get along. He wasn’t abusive but, he was far from loving with anyone other than my mother.

I think Peachpipe comes from a very traditional nuclear family, so he has both a father and a mother at home. But clearly his personality is “mother’s boy” and he likely doesn’t have a close relationship with his father. Perhaps his father is one of those guys who’s so focused on his work that he really doesn’t spend much time on family things.

But as you say, we’ll have to wait to see Stellarator’s vision.

Peach may have mentioned only his mother but in Part 36, Page 1, Panel 2, Adagio said, “Peach’s parents were home.” Maybe, Peach’s father isn’t in the picture and the other “parent” was a “friend” of Peach’s mother. I guess Stellarator would have to clear that one up for us.

I haven’t much explored Peach’s family situation, but I may later, since there seems to be a lot of interest in it. Who knows? The dynamic between Adagio and Peach’s mom would certainly be interesting. Especially because Adagio comes off as a “bad girl”, and a bad influence on Mom’s sweet, innocent little Peach.

I’m glad you’re enjoying the story! I’m mostly not breaking things off into their own series so I don’t have to manage a tangle of cross-linking between series. It’s already a pain with WWBA and AMWTN. But one of the things I love about doing WWBA is that I have enough characters with their own things going on that I can shift between them, for variety both for me and for readers. Different kinds of interaction, and also different kinds of sex. Though at this point the sex has the job of being part of the interpersonal relationships and how they are shown, instead of just random fucking.

Yeah, that. Random ponies would just think she looks sexy and a little scary. They might assume she is signaling sexual availability, but they do so at their peril. See also: WWBA 16 >>2661131

Sorry for the late reply. Had some personal problems going on lately. But yeah, I figured Peach was at least 18 because he was working late night in a bar. You gotta be 18 to get licensed to serve alcohol. Though to be fair, we don’t know exactly how the laws in their world work. Adagio didn’t exactly show ID when she came in to drink. And I don’t know where she’d get a fake ID. I imagine they’d have some other magical way to tell legal drinking age. I do also wonder if Peach can cook if it’s a bar that serves food. You can find many a good burger in bars.

I just picture Peach’s mother being something like Mrs. Cake in terms of body type, and overprotective. If anything, I can see Peach having gotten a late night job just to have more time to himself. Even mamma’s boys need a break. And since Peach’s full name is Peach Cobbler, I’m guessing Cobbler could be a family name. Like Pie or Cake. So others like Berry Cobbler, Apple Cobbler, Lemon Cobbler, Strawberry Cobbler, or anything else you can imagine making a cobbler with. Although somepony who married into the family could have a name like Shoe Cobbler. (Bada-Tish!) Jokes aside I am very interested in where Adagio and Peach’s collective story goes. They’re my favorite characters in this comic. Sure the sex is nice. But I’m more into the story now. This could even become a webcomic on it’s own site or something.

Peach does give off a mamma’s boy vibe, but I think his vibe for Adagio would be stronger long term. I wouldn’t let go of a woman like her because of a disapproving mother. If anything Adagio and Peach’s mother would probably be most passive aggressive with each other as soon as Peach leaves the room.

American liquor laws are weird. You can join the military at 18, get sent overseas to risk your life in combat, but you aren’t old enough to be trusted with a drink. Oh, but you can take up smoking which is infinitely more addictive and DESIGNED to be addictive.

That’s fair. I suppose in terms of actual measured height in Blender, the boys are on the short side, but really what matters is relative heights, since each character’s scale is measured against the others, not against an imaginary ruler. :) And she certainly does have an outsized presence, which is not diminished by the hair!

Aria is tol. Sonata is smol. Adagio is meed. :)

I honestly hadn’t thought of developing Peach’s mother much, but with the reaction to her mention, I might have to think about it. Less porny sex possibilities there, but my readership seems to have interest in a lot of story beyond just the sexy times. And even though it may be in a perfectly healthy way, Peach is obviously the sort of pony who would be a mamma’s boy.

That would also be an interesting interaction, because Adagio knows that upsetting Peach’s mom too much would hurt Peach. At the same time, Peach is Adagio’s, dammit! Would be interesting.

Little detail that I wonder if anyone noticed. Since Peach still lives with his mom, (and made recent highschool references) I wanted to establish that he was (barely) 18 when Adagio first accosted him. Take note, moderators! :) (Not that Adagio would care either way, of course.)

Not to nitpick, but Adagio is tall. She’s easily as tall as most male ponies in the comic. And her hair style adds to her physical stature. Her Equestria Girls counterpart is shorter than most boys. Yet her anthro version stands eye to eye with them. Sonata actually seems like more like just a little below average female height. And Aria’s height seems comparable to Princess Luna as she seems like the tallest of the three Sirens. Adagio is easily as tall as that green guy Protein Shake. And since Peach is shorter than Adagio, it wouldn’t be farfetched to assume one or both of his parents are around his height as well. And judging from Peach’s behavior, he gives off the vibe of a guy that’s more used to maternal affection. Meaning his father may not be in the picture. Plus, he’s only mentioned his mother.

And since Adagio is basically goddess level beautiful, tall and has a natural commanding aura, someone like Peach’s mother may find her both intimidating and a threat. Especially if she’s an overprotective mother. It’d actually be hilarious if there was a whole story arc about Peach’s mother fighting with Adagio and trying to follow her around or something. Now that Adagio has put a collar on Peach, she’s definitely gonna give off the “He’s mine!” vibe to other women.

I think you’ll find she’s average height. ;)

Peach definitely prefers to be the submissive type to his GF. Possibly even infantilized to an extent judging by his behavior. Everypony has their type. And he clearly likes women who are tall and in charge. I actually hope we get a scene in the future where Adagio fights with Peach’s mother. I can just see the look of shock on her face when she demands to meet Peach’s GF and the tall and beautiful Adagio who can lift a man with one arm walks in through the door. Taking a boy from an overprotective and possibly even jocasta mother is not easy. But it is interesting to see.

I don’t know ‘Dagi,’ that cute smile at the end screams caring about him more than ‘property.’ I’d say that fits as a boyfriend to me, and lots of cuddles. (Also, I’d really like Sonata hearing about Smoothie getting his cherry popped, they probably talked about it but I’d rather see it, and she’d complain she missed it, so they’d have to redo it.) :D
