Sugar Cube Corner had a suprising amount of cake batter left over this week… which just so happens the be on the date of the Cake’s anniversery. What a lovely coincidence.

Funny you say that, because the sketch that inspired this drawing was a study / redraw I did two years ago of a piece that I liked, except as a pony. I don’t really finish or share these studies I do publicly because they’re so heavily referenced, but props to @White-eyed vireo for giving the pose new context and life. I think it turned out nicely. :)
This is 90% just wanting the thing in color honestly.
And using other pics/completing from artists is pretty much the basis of learning/improving, so I think it was a good process. Great results.
