The reason is, that G3.5 (2009) was to G3 what Pony Life/G4.5 is to FiM - a way cuter, more chibi, more saccharine storyline version. xD

I disagree, I like how sassy Rarity & AJ look, and I love Dashie’s crazy hairdo. Pinkie’s cutesy, yet silly look suits her perfectly. The others honestly don’t look any worse then Twilight to me.
