Its a while till s4 if we even get one, plenty of time to change merch if they want to make her an alicorn.

That doesn’t prove anything really, if you think about it if they had shown her with wings like that before she actually got them people would have been throwing a fit three months ago and it would have in a way spoilered the whole purpose of the season, plus Lauren Faust stated all info stated on the show overtakes any other, so this actually doesn’t prove anything.

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

After all the dramas we have been with Flutterhate, AJ no character development, Rarity background pony, Rainbow Dash awful character, i’m actually surprised it took so long to Twilight to be the main subject.  
I wonder when will be Pinkie Pie’s time.

This is a good point, but it’s not quite watertight. Hasbro have a track record of taking a long time to update merchandise. Just look at how long it took them to update their Gen 3 stuff to Gen 4.
