Man, all this ship rage in the comments. I bet I’m the only one that would’ve been in favour of Big Mac and Fleetfoot, even if that comic pretty much only established that Fleetfoot becomes a horny stalker after being hit in the head.

Still, I didn’t read so much into the other ships people for whatever reason obsessed over.
What springs to mind with this scene to me is why wasn’t Starlight Glimmer invited? Sure it’s kinda of odd to have the former ruler of a village you were practically enslaved in come to your wedding, but given the shows whole thing of forgiveness, and the fact that they invited her back to their town, Starlight just seems like the only missing piece to this scene. You get the main four secondary characters of ‘Our Town’ there, but you don’t have the one that drew our attention to them in the first place.

Maybe they never actually did forgive her.

Oh look, someone’s been flagging my earlier comments. What’s the matter? Can’t handle negative feedback?

Did they even see past episodes in which Cheerilee and Big Mac were clearly an item without the love potion?
All of which were just little moment in the background. And only one of the things you shown actually in hints to them being in a relationship

I guess it would have been awkward if they invited Marble to Big Mac’s wedding

I was HOPING she would have attended if for no other reason than to give us some proper closure on her heartbreak moment.

@TheRocketMan
Actually, I’m angry that they, the writers, swept the previously established CheeriMac and MarbleMac relationships under the rug and then out of the blue shoe-horned Big Mac into a relationship with Sugar Belle with the most haphazard and laziest of reconciliation. Did they think their fans wouldn’t notice? Did they even see past episodes in which Cheerilee and Big Mac were clearly an item without the love potion? The first SugarMac episode reads like the writers read an episode summary of the Hearts and Hooves Day episode and then didn’t bother to cross-check the Hard to Say Anything script with subsequent episodes. Maybe had they given the CheeriMac and MarbleMac relationships some proper resolution - especially after that infamous shot in the Best Gift Ever special - I might have been more accepting of the SugarMac nonsense.

Nice to see Burnt Oak, Night Glider, Party Favor and Double Diamond there.

Small wedding, fits Big Mac and resembles the one from the Apple parents.

User meltdown in the comments?

It’s probably referring to this comment I left.

The last four seasons have been written by idiots. There’s some diamonds in the rough for sure, but for the most part it’s just filler after filler that flushes much of what the previous seasons established down the toilet and does next to nothing to develop the new characters they introduce. When we do see a “development” in a character, it happens a abruptly and out of the blue. Like all of a sudden Sugar Belle is Big Mac’s girlfriend with the most half-assed of excuse to try and brush his past relationships under the rug. Or making a huge song and dance out of the return of the Pillars and then sweeping them under the rug too. Or introducing the Student Six almost as though they are promising successors to the Mane Six and then relegating them to side characters that are barely in the show at all. Or constantly setting up elaborate plot devices at the beginning of each Season that should be more than enough to carry the story for another twenty episodes at least, then completely ignoring it until the Season finale.
Did they even want to be involved in this series!?
I guess, the butthurt shippers have been affected by the episode as well, but I am ok with the ship and the episode is great.

Being butt hurt doesn’t enter into it. This episode was the series last chance to at least tie up the loose end they created for themselves. We last saw Marble Pie heartbroken in the Best Gift Ever episode, and the writers have made no attempt to address any of the obvious hints that Big Mac and Cheerilee have been seeing each other without the love potion. Instead, the episode is yet another pointless filler that further tries to sweep these past episodes under the rug. The whole SugarMac relationship just comes across as shoehorned and out of the blue.

User meltdown in the comments?

My, I thought in the episode, Spike Discord, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo are enough of the troublemakers (5 most legendary troublemakers combined at once). I guess, the butthurt shippers have been affected by the episode as well, but I am ok with the ship and the episode is great.

Keep moving forward
People are arguing here and I’m just glad they gave Double Diamond, Night Glider, and Party Favor one last appearance before the show ends.

I gotta say this is fucking lovely. Sure it’s not Fleetfoot and there appears to be no hint of Sweetcream Scoops gunning for Sugars head, but I’m okay with this regardless.
