Same. It’s not completely ugly, but still… If they wanted muscular Spike from “A Dog and Pony Show”, there’s a better way to implement it. Especially since Smolder looks normal.

Cheese sandwiches whole purpose was really just there so people would ship them together and trust me this isn’t the only time they did something like this.
 
As a spike fan I ship anyone with spike hell I’d even ship him with cheese sandwich if I ever wanted to. Hell let’s have both pinkie and cheese throw spike a party that would be awesome.

I still haven’t made up my mind about his design. Sometimes he looks good. Sometimes he looks terrible. My diagnosis is, he needs a little tweaking to fix some minor issues, then he’d look good.
 
Of course, I would have been happier if he looked great, but alas.

Maybe it’s better that way, Rarity didn’t end up with anybody else either. The episode didn’t confirm any mane six ships, except for Pinkie of course.
