what
what are you going on about? what does this have to do with this post or anything with MLP?
what
what
fuck this white American enlightenment pop culture bullshit
It was far too subtle. People used to constantly complain about no day/night back then on the message boards. Almost as much as the lack of trading with G/S/C

We dont talk about 3.5.
The show writers already lampshaded this in “Stranger than Fan Fiction”.
Count me as one of those EqG fans, because I like the fact that they look like pretty aliens!
In all my years of being an MLP fan (since the 80s) I have never, ever heard of a die-hard G3.5 fan, at least.

“FiM = FLIM Skim!”
I was expecting something to do with Flim and his cute, handsome brother from the Moon.

G4 had a huge impact that I can’t see being topped. Like with Disney and the Lion King, it still their most highest grossing film and nothing has even came close to that originality. Further more, we can look to what has all ready occurred with other Hasbro brands, Littlest Pet Shop. LPS had an original running series back in the 80’s much like MLP, however it was rebooted roughly in the same life span as MLP, however it ended its run short and was rebooted once more for ‘A world of our own”. Did the new LPS bring in even more of an audience?, No. Did they ever hit the same viewer ship as the original, attract a more diverse target audience, sell more toys than the original, Not one bit. It slowly trickles in money but it is failing hard because it just doesn’t have that oompth that the generation before it had.
Looking even further to Gem and how it bombed, Transformers and all the movies, the only thing that pulled in anyone was Nostalgia and that has waned hard, coupled with Hasbro’s financial problems and more; it would take allot of effort and planning just to make the next generation anywhere even close to palatable.
Sorry, didn’t mean to come in hot, but it is a major annoyance of mine, when I see people say stuff like that. Like I pointed out, the only GenIII games that did not have a day/night cycle, were the GenI remakes.
It was the same thing you had to look out for in G/S/C, and D/P/Pt, the lights in the houses turning on, and the tileset getting a bit darker, the latter was more subtle in GIII compared to GII and GIV because it just tinted the ground and not the screen to go with it like the other two did, I’ll admit, but it was noticeable.
Whoa whoa hey there pump the brakes. i didnt mean anything by it. That was the only downside to the game as far as an actual eyeseeing thing IMO, there was no way to tell when it was night or not. v.v the story itself along with the playing was great. 2 of my main 6 are from the Hoenn Region in Gardevoir and Absol. I’m such a huge ruby player that i bought omega ruby RIGHT when it was released and i never buy new games atleast until a few months have gone buy. :)

It would make sense if they had big plans, since now they don’t have to worry about the show contradicting anything they write.
I’m so sick of seeing people say that… Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald had a day/night cycle too, the first thing your mother asks you to do after you get out of the moving truck is set the clock in your room for it.
Wurmple’s evolution used to be based on when you caught it, Silcoon and Beautifly were daytime catches, Cascoon and Dustox were nighttime catches, it was later changed to a 50/50 chance, like it would become if the battery in the carts for R/S/E died.
Heck, when the battery dies, the game will even tell you “You can still save, but clock based events will no longer occur.”
At night, the normally blue windows in buildings would turn yellow, to signify that the people inside had their lights on, and the tilesets would get a little darker to match.
The Kanto remakes, Fire red and Leaf green didn’t have the day/night cycle, but the Hoenn games absolutely did.
2 was my speed but 4 was so great. the daytime cycle was back and there was a bunch of things to do unrelated to the storyline.
G4 might be a fluke
