Unless you actually drew the piece you are not acknowledged as the artist of it on this site. Coming up with a design or whatever isn’t enough.
But I suggest we continue this in private to see what we can do about this situation.
@BigOnionbean
I don’t have anything against you. I’m trying to keep tagging on this site consistent.
Anyway, I’m pulling out. This comment section has been clogged up enough.
Even the artist for this post agrees with me, or at least gives my consent for such a title. So unless you intend on screening every piece and playing textbook context SS style with every single post/pic I have ever made, then I advise that you just let this slide and just leave it as is. Until you see me start claiming that I did the whole pieces or not giving any credibility whatsoever to the artists, then you can drop the fat textbook on me. Otherwise, I suggest we leave this debacle at this please.
@Hopen Way
Technically every piece here is in collaboration with the artist. Regardless as to whether or not I am the “actual” artist or not, I did collaborate in the creation of these. As before, I have credited each piece rightfully to the artist respectfully.
Also yes, every one of these posts are in collaboration with other artists. I even state it in my description on my page. I’ve applied the tag to every pic I have so I really am not going to go and change them all for somepony who has a problem with the context of the tag. I have never gotten or received any problems or flak from moderators or anypony until you came around. Think what you want of the artist tag, I think I consider myself in part an artist.
My take on is it that the pony came from a comic bigonionbean wrote, so he deserves to be credited for that, if it was a comic panel instead of a headshot that would be more obvious.
I’m not sure who is right or wrong, I’m not well versed in site rules because i’ve never wanted or needed to challenge them, but as long as people credit me which he has, it’s up to them what they do with the image, so I am perfectly fine with it being left as is.
Like I said, we don’t tag character designer as artists on this site. That’s the reason I removed it. It’s not a collab, is it?
… unless you intend on… every single pos I have made…
Wait, are you saying none of the pics in your gallery is your own drawing?
… If that’s the case, I’ll ask about it. I think you don’t get an artist tag, but a tag, green or pink, for your verse.
@Hopen Way
And I saw you just removed the tag again so unless you intend on applying this to the whole of every single pos I have made to this website then I suggest you stop.
Like before, Had I not credited and linked the artist to this piece then you would have the right to do it. However I did link this and credit it to the artist.
@FlacidTurkey
On Derpi, we only tag artists if they actually drew the picture, lining or coloring. Commissioners or character designers don’t get tagged as artists. Such information would belong in the description.
@BigOnionbean
I just prefer to link straight to the artists (who drew the picture) but yeah that’s fine too. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@FlacidTurkey
I bet it’s cause he saw the two links to the same image and picked one over the other. Even though that is not up for him to decide. As long as I credited and linked the artist/illustrator within this and did not claim this to be of my own doing/creation, then there is no reason to change this. Not everypony can be a good tag cop, plus he ain’t a mod.
Why did @Hopen Way remove the tag for bigonionbean? He does after all need to be partially credited for being the commissioner/owner of the Oc. Even if it was illustrated by another artist.
That’s not how the artist tag works.

Good to hear.

So please stop removing tag.
