I’m pretty sure Cardinal Richelieu was portrayed petting a white cat way before Blofeld.
I’m not denying that, I’m just saying some of us may have been thinking of the motif as a whole (I know I used the word wrong, I don’t care) rather than its specific origins. Mainly just because I felt like being contrary.
That’s as maybe, but Blofeld invented that thing.
Or we were thinking of the “villain stroking cat” thing in general rather than a specific example. :P
