otherwise Stygian is for me an alternative version of Twilight, he is the one who formed the old M6 but instead of becoming an important piece of this group he dropped into his scenery.  
would be an interesting development for both of us to see what the other could have become and thus to complement each other in the couple.  
(future: I see Stygian still alive next to Twilight 1000 years later. all this remains possible thanks to the improved haycards’ method technique. it remains however to connect to a book that keeps it alive. )

for me the episode of their meeting was an obvious the great is all powerful Trixie meets one of these greatest fan.

I, on my side, prefer the zecora potion that will mix their nature.

Marble looked like Fluttershy and was promising but a big stop put an end to this youthful love.

I see a link between AJ is the trees, it falls well the Kirin have a magic that acts on the plants.  
On the other hand, I voice a Kirin a troublemaker who will need honesty especially towards himself and AJ will be there to help him.  
scenario for this Kirin: (Wingzzard)  
It would be a night AJ would be awakened by a fire on the farm.  
AJ will find the culprit and chase him before being attacked by Timber Wolf and get bitten.  
At night fall she would turn into Timber Pony.  
Attracted by the forest she would meet the culprit a mysterious Kirin controlling the Timbers Wolfs and AJ.  
This one makes AJ angry but remains silent.  
First of all AJ thinks it’s because he wasn’t treated like the others.  
Then she notices that it could have turned into nerik and that it is losing control over the Timbers Wolfs and her.  
But she stays to solve the case.  
She discovers that herself Kirin is deaf and therefore molting and that her problem with AJ.  
Came up with a problem because she had put an end to her paradise of silence or her difference no longer existed.So AJ explains to Kirin that she understands him and can help him.  
He understands are error and comes this doing forgiven with the apple family and learns the sign language.
