I needed something innately ridiculous that would tie back to the kind of person who thinks “Colin Kaepernick was a bad quarterback” is a statement that would go unexamined for its real motivation, and voila.

The very idea of “Kaepernik” and “lousy quarterback” appearing in the same sentence without “scare quotes” is so laughably ridiculous it might as well be printed on a #bluelivesmatter T-shirt; I hated his guts when he played for San Francisco because he was so good at his job, and I despise the 49ers.
