A building in NYC might be more natural or something that symbolizes NYC like something apple related (“the big apple”).

The cutie mark referencing New York doesn’t fit the setting, but you could change the NY to MH for Manehatten and it would work. It’d go a ways to make your OC less self insert and a more natural character. Cutie Marks with letters don’t really appear in the show but I don’t see any reason they couldn’t be a thing.

You could stick with the current colours but make them a little softer on the eyes maybe? As for a cutie mark… think of something you’re good at and play to it to come up with something. My ponysona Nick Nack Paddywack has a moviola reel with a wrench tied up in it. Both are my specialist fields I teach in schools and an entendre because there’s always a spanner in the works somewhere in life ^^; just work at it and you’ll find something!

sadly no, i have nothing against shipping but 99% of the bronies/pegasisters hate it. Doesn’t help they also hate Alicorn OC’s which is stupid too. They need to let people be happy, good lord.
