I don´t blame Scootaloo for wanting to prove herself and getting scared, she is still a filly after all.  
However Dusty did not trick her; in fact she was completely honest about the safety standards and about the stunt she had prepared for her.  
There was no tricking.  
Yes, it was was wrong to ignore her second thoughts (I consider it a relapse) but until that moment she did nothing wrong.

No, it is absolutely clear that Scootaloo volunteered; in fact she insisted on doing it despite all raised concerns.  
Ignoring her second thoughts was wrong but it was just thoughtless, not malicious.
 

 
And now we have another discussion about Dusty instead of Cozy.

They never showed on the episode if Scootaloo volunteered for that stunt, for all we know it could have been Lightning who pushed her into doing it. And even if Scootaloo did volunteer, she still should have been able to change her mind and not do that stunt, but no because Lightning Dust doesn’t care if a handicapped child gets hurt. Lightning should have known what she is doing is wrong.

Don’t put blame on Scootaloo in an attempt to excuse Lightning Dust’s actions. Scoots has done nothing wrong, she was just like these Ex-Wonderbolts, with the exception that she can’t fly at all, she wanted to be part of a team regardless and do what she can with her disability and be as great as possible. There is nothing wrong about THAT.  
And she had second thoughts at the end, because Lightning Dust did not tell her the full truth, as evident by Scoots’ surprise when she saw the rockets.  
It was Lightning Dust who then forced her to do the stunt, for the sake of the success of her show and to get back at Rainbow Dash, completely ignoring what Scootaloo wanted, as well as her safety.  
If you rather defend Lightning Dust, who only cares about her own, selfish interests, than acknowledging that Scootaloo had been tricked by her, then you don’t have your heart at the right place.

Neighsay did realize the error of his ways, though. Seeing a pony nearly destroy Equestria and non-ponies trying to stop her pretty much exploded his worldview. To his credit, he was pony enough to admit he was wrong.

Dusty started that team to give her and other former Wonderbolts the chance to live their dream.  
That is admirable.  
And it was Scootaloo who came to her and volunteered for that stunt.

I wouldn’t narrow it down to Lightning Dust starts her own team. The End.  
More like Lightning starts a team with ex-wonderbolts to get back at them. Then she pushes Scootaloo to do a dangerous stunt to ruffle Dash’s feathers.

All she does is to lead her own stunt team.  
There is nothing wrong about that.

Because it’ll make her character infinitely more interesting, because it’s some needed darkness in the MLP universe, because it’ll further cement her as a threat, because it’ll open up so much speculation as to how, why, when, and who, and because it opens up all sorts of possibilities for her as a character.

Considering how you defend Lightning Dust, how you keep being loyal to her and to believe in her, what do you think about it that I have the same feelings about Cozy Glow and that I don’t believe she is truly evil?

Not every villain needs deep reasons; some people are just rotten.
