I think it was peanut butter and banana but fried in bacon grease
Actually “Fool’s Gold Loaf” is Peanut Butter, Bacon and Jelly. I’d think this is a sandwich you serve hot. With that said, I did make and eat a similar Banana-Turkey Bacon-Strawberry Jelly sandwich; served hot at around 150 F, it wasn’t bad IMHO.

Banana and Peanut Butter doesn’t go bad, IMHO. I used to drink a cup of coffee with it, I’m not sure why. I guess it’s partially because the banana counteracts the coffee’s acidity while the coffee counteracts the sugar in the banana.
