The Q&A things are usually treated as their own separate entity not tied to the episodes, but they are the same characters and they do have world building in them to. It’s interesting. But they are self aware they are answering questions to us, while the episodes are them not having any tie to us the audience. :)
Most Q&A isn’t here because it doesn’t really warrant it is my guess. The main thing for this series is the episodes.
It’s ok. I’ve noticed that some of these Q&A have either not been posted here or have been broken up into parts.

I didn’t see anything associated with the coast in the previous episodes, at least not yet. The other similarities of scenery can be explained by both locations being in affinity, and as a result share the same kind of trees, logs, etc.
But then again, I don’t have any credibility on talking about other’s works, and the rain in the previous episode with AJ does fit the name “Rainy Coast” pretty well.
This episode is tied with the two prior camping episodes with Applejack. They never went to a lake, they went to the coast. This is the coast. Driftwood, rock formations, storm front, coastal grasses, seashells, star fish, etc. It is the same camping trip.

It appears that this episode is independent from the previous two. AJ’s campsite had no lake, and wasn’t tagged with “rainy coast” in the source. This episode has that tag, and in other episodes sharing that tag you usually see Twilight being sad of being single before a certain reporter showed up.
