Lol. Well, read the rest of it. I mean their eyes rest at an uncomfortable level. I feel like I would’ve noticed and remembered if Capper were that tall in the movie, so it’s kind of relevant.
 
Given he wasn’t, and they weren’t at knee level, I think capper is shorter than humans.
 
… though now I want to see Capper meet Opal. Also I think we should’ve had a “he’s such a cute kitty!” Moment from Fluttershy. Which would’ve been great interaction for a street con artist who would happily sell ponies into slavery without hesitation.

I’d say the lack of precision there gives about a +/- 30-50% error, just eyeballing it.
 
Sooo… I think it’s in the rough ballpark, but I don’t think it’s much more accurate than that.
 
In the past I did a height thing on ponies with 5 different methods, and more recently I’ve gone back and used 8 for a panel at CMPC, but I’m very certain now they’re around 3’5” or so (~1 meter, +/- 10cm), 7/8 measurement methods fall into that range, and the one that doesn’t puts them at like 2 inches, so…
 
It lines up with my earlier results.
 

 
Ponies are at such a height that their eye level is at an uncomfortable crotch height, lol - but that’s kind of an easy way to remember it. I don’t think they compared the same to Capper, though I don’t remember too well.

You can’t just assume that the character sin the movie shot and EqG rarity are the exact some distance from the camera from the shot you cropped her from. This seems arbitrary.

A reminder that EqG Rarity is wearing heels, and so appears to be at least a couple of inches taller than she should be.

OTOH somnambula LoM comic showed her to be 4ft tall. If we assume she’s of average pony height than that makes EqG rarity close to 7ft tall.

No. EG Rarity was photoshopped into this image to give a better idea of character size. If we assume EG Rarity is the same height as the average teenage girl, then Capper is just under that average. We can also guess that Captain Celaeno and her crew’s heights represent actual human adult sizes. Compare the ponies to that, and we have more evidence that they live up to the title of “My Little Pony”.
