It would have been a silent film instead of a “talky”. Those didn’t exist until the late 1920’s.

if the mlp movie was made in october of 1917, it would’ve been less than 15 minutes long, each cel would’ve been painstakingly hand-drawn by someone like windsor mccay, and it would’ve been projected at only 16 frames per second. oh, and it would’ve been released not long after the u.s. entered the first world war, so they probably would’ve packaged the reel with pony-themed liberty bonds.
