Well, the Storm King and his army and henchmen didn’t just cause destruction and damaged across Canterlot throughout the movie. But he cause destruction and damage the rest of Equestria throughout the movie too.

Well, this was not explained in the junior novel. I’m assuming that once Twilight and the Mane Six restore Celestia, Luna, and Cadance, the Staff of Sacanas or the Magic of Friendship handles the rest with undoing all of the damage Tempest and Storm King caused to Canterlot, restoring it to its pristine glory that it was before everything happened, allowing the Friendship Festival to go on as planned.

I know this movie isn’t going to be the most surprising thing plot-wise but they could at least try not to spoil the WHOLE ENDING!
