Dude, I was just about to tear-up because this scene was so heartwarming and beautiful…then I went to go to the comments and see if any had he same respond as I did, found this, and destroyed any sad-feeling toward this comic. XD

Remember! Kids show….well…officially…  
But Hasbro has Repeatedly gave the Brony fandom shout outs and also used some ideas from the fandom (il assume they thought “Fucking hell! thats a great idea! Lets honor it!”
 
For example…Slice of life episode. and also the episode where celestia and nightmare moon fight and they create that power struggle. it was obvious they saw the youtube animation “lullaby for a princess”.
 
Also Day breaker. Of course they cannot call her Solar flare.
 
oh and as for the heart warming episode, the episode about Applejacks Parents pretty much destroyed me and i threw my self into a pit of “feels” lol

witch is a shame, you’d think by now that the show would be given more freedom given the popularity its gotten over the years. come on Hasbro give the show more reigns to do what it wants or at the very least allow some ships to become canon on the show, maybe have one of the towns folks that one of the main 6 knows pass-away it worked well on other kids shows like sesame street and Arthur rugrats

I don’t think it’s even remotely fair to judge a show made for kids on a small time cable network with the same standard of a prime time TV show made for adults. The only thing that is the same is they are both animated. The Simpsons have far more freedom on what they can do than MLP and I think a lot of people don’t realize how many restrictions this show has on it.

oh plz, the simpsons in the early days made tons of heartwarming eps almost everyother week and this artist makes this comic in less then a month. don’t say its “to hard to write” cause im sure if they try they can come up with some tear-jerking eps
