The thing is, The main characters actually met shadowlock in the comic so if he shows up in an episode, people will wonder how the main characters know this guy when he’s never been in an episode before. To do that, they’d have to recap the plot of his comic and I don’t see that happening.
 
It’s different with legends of equestria because those stories take place in the past and those charecters have no connection to the mane 6. The episode is just gonna be the mane 6 telling more stories about those characters. The audience doesn’t need to know about their stories from the comic to understand what is going on.

Well I’m going to be hoping that he does show up in there. I mean, they ARE going to have the legends of magic characters and stories be on the campfire tales episode, also the mlp movie will be having prequel comics. So it could definitely be possible that shadow lock will return in those episodes.

Shadow lock showing up is unlikely because then the show would have to directly refrence the comic which may confuse people who don’t read them. But I wouldn’t be suprised if glimmer was also this thing descendant. It would explain her penchant for evil and the magic anger clouds she has that no other pony has had.

I also hope that shadow lock will be in there. He’s got to. I mean, we were told that this season would be about family (I forgot exactly what it said), so he’s got to be in those episodes hopefully.

Damn these spoilers, I wanted to be surprised that there was no national broadcasts in the next two weeks!

I think the villain is almost definitely the pony of shadows aka that evil alicorn thingy from the shadow lock comic.

I think the villain in 2 parts of season finale will be Queen Chrysalis (vengeance against Starlight Glimmer) or Shadowlock

This is kind of a dupe.

So not a three parter then? A little disappointing, but I’m still very intrigued by the possibilities here.
 
Especially the “Uncommon Bond” one, since we know at least a little about the finale already.
