Here in Mexico happens quite often.
The weirdest part is that I feel out of place with that practice despite the fact that I’ve been living here all my life, really, I do it out of habit rather than conviction.

I’m from Texas and my family does not do this kissing thing. It seems French or Latin American

A firm handshake between men and a gentle and quick hug between men and women on a first name basis, extended family. Strangers it depends but a simple hello, how are you? would do. Kissing is too close for comfort and distance equals respect of someone’s personal space, at least it’s how I see it.

I prefer a handshake or simple hello.

Unfortunately many people have chosen to mimic the idiotic customs of blacks. Bumping fist, saying ‘nah’ instead of ‘no’ and ‘my/mah bad’ etc.

I am from Argentina. It is very normal here, men with men as formality, reunion of friends or relatives, or shake hands, is the same
, And man with woman always a kiss, it is very rare and uncomfortable to shake hands between a man and a woman

Here in Brazil, we do that with friends and family. Normally man kisses the woman like this or the woman does it as well…

I’m southeast asian and we do this all the time, everytime. South asians do them too. I can’t speak for the far east like japan korea or china, but we in the malaysia filipino indonesia thailand, we do this.

The greatest part of this was Photo Finish with her “Kiss Kiss Kiss”.

Actually: “Cheek kissing is very common in Southern, Central and Eastern Europe, the Mediterranean, the Middle East, the Horn of Africa and Latin America. It is not as common in English-speaking Canada and the United States, Asia and Northern Europe.”
So I don’t know if it’s that big of a deal to be too excited or go as far as making a clop-fic.
