Correct, I used the wrong terminology.
I can imagine that drives some people nuts the same way when I mentioned the bow thing.
Yeah, that hopper is a bit too open. Needs either a proper box or drum magazine or a hopper with actual walls.
Also, the proper terminology for an enclosed “clip” is (detachable) magazine – clips are strips or blocks of rounds loaded into an internal magazine.
The clip is enclosed, I already see the difference. The bullets are not being held like a Garand clip, like in the picture. I get that, it’s just the little details that tend to drive me up the wall.
That doesn’t look right with maybe 100 bullets stacked on each other like that, being slowly fed into a gun. It wouldn’t work unless you had something pushing the bullets down…and even at that you run the risk of bullets fall out out of the clip while firing when they’re like that…
Meanwhile, I’m smiling, because the original Gatling gun from the 1860s had its ammo feed look almost exactly like that!
A loader would put the bullets in on top with a clip, and let gravity carry the rest down, as the gunner turned the crank and fired the gun.
I also remember Bulk Biceps.
