Still not as heavy as shit we have EVERYDAY. For example, there’s not a single fucking day I don’t hear in TV about some murder,rape,kidnapping,terrorist attack, etc. There’s nothing like that in the show (for obvious reasons, duh, but STILL)

Characters like Twilight and the rest of the Mane 6 can’t exist in the real world. The real world has problems and is flawed and broken. We can turn to characters from fiction as shining beacons of heroism and idealism and work towards their examples in our own lives. If we resign ourselves to lamenting the problems of our world rather than striving to fix them, we are failing to live up to the examples set by the characters we look up to.
 
If you say the world is too messed up for such ‘innocent beauty’ to exist then go out there and do work towards improving creating a new world, a better world, where maybe it can.
