She got hit hard enough to see straight!
The mailmare thing come from a small greentext fic featuring her on /co/. She was called “Bright Eyes” in it, that was only 3 episodes in. Where she talk about how she was a diligent mailpony even tho nobody took her seriously.
Then the delivery stuff happened and it kinda “cemented” it even if it wasn’t really the case.

Actually no. It has its roots in previous 4junk discussions. Her job was decided before the delivery cameo.
(Plus she & Raindrops there were moving furniture; not 100% the mail delivery that was envisioned.)
In my headcanon, she works at the equivalent of the UPS Store - not the official government mail store, but a delivery franchise.
DerpyMailmare headcanon (turned canon) has it’s roots in Feeling Pinkie Keen when the then unnamed Derpy Pone was loading a truck with cardboar box.People then extrapolated that she was working some delivery service job

But it’s nice to see continuity.
She was one in slice of life and the Comics before that

Was the deliverypone outfit here seen before? It harks back to Crafty Crate, distinctly different from the mailponies seen before.
She seems to have her own delivery company (or work at her uncle’s or bosses or whatever).
Wasn’t that a really popular fan made idea that they never made offical before?
