Actually bakuhaku admitted that the series was to just be a bunch of oneoff scenarios with no story. The fact that spike was quite literally a throw away tells me that bakuhaku doesn’t know what spike’s purpose is beyond being a buttmonkey for everyone else to abuse instead of a cornerstone of sanity in an insane world and one of the ONLY characters to fix a problem he started when EVERYTHING else failed. But again, I also point out that one of the few constants, even with the new writing, is that Spike wants Rarity. Regardless of her opinion of him, Spike wants her and you know for a fact how deep that desire runs as that desire ALONE stopped his rampage. Not twilight’s relationship with him (that was one of the first things to fail), not the toughness of RD, not the quelling of Fluttershy, not the action of AJ, not the antics of Pinkie, or even the initial plight of Rarity. It was only when she mentioned her fondness for Spike that he woke up and realized he was going against everything he’d been working for. But due to bakuhaku not really going for a story in the first place, he’s just thrown in as a cock sock and then never seen again because “who cares about spike?“

Let’s also remember Twilight is being affected by a volatile cocktail of spells that make her unable to resist urges, and it’s the worst for her because of all her magic.
Even when Spike got treated slightly better in S6, it doesn’t feel like people got the memo.
SPIKE overcame his greed without any assistance. Twilight couldn’t handle a boner. But I get what you’re comparing and it’s still silly in a sour way and he turns around and goes “Oh hey it’s fine you just violated me, I mean, it’s not like I wanted to do that with someone else that I care about as one of my few consistant character cornerstones and you callously robbed me of that opportunity because you’re a selfish dunce who can’t handle some hormones that i personally lived with my whole life especially since I was staring at all of your asses through puberty, but not only am I perfectly fine with that but you’re free to violently violate me anytime you want.” Like… WHAT? It just is so terrible that there is a reason I don’t look at bakuhaku’s works anymore. Which is a shame as that series was rather enjoyable and on the money with most of the characters until it got to spike. it’s like a member of DHX wrote that chapter.
What do you think of him comparing it to his greed thing? And excusing her based on that?
Still bananas that he’s “fine” getting the shit boned out of him by twilight when he would have SOME sort of objection to it on principal due to the character trait of him caring about rarity. I feel especially “off” due to that aspect just being ignored and thereby felt bad that spike was degraded to quite literally nothing more than a cock sock for twilight, not even having any of his actual character being used, just some slave for twilight to vent on.
Rape is not automatically traumatic. It generally is, but in that comic, Spike enjoying it wasn’t that unbelievable.
I believe they are implying that Spike frequently places his hands on ponies in places that most would deem “improper”.
