Description
It is said that whenever a magic user dies, their souls do not go to Heaven or Hell. They are instead taken to the source of all magic, known as the Ebonmere. As these tainted souls sought to lead and control the world in life, they must spend the afterlife learning to follow and submit to their unknown patrons: the Hecatites, the spirits formed when life first began to explore the realms beyond physical understanding. There are many tiers of these ancient beings, but all share one common trait: centuries of being steeped in the infinite possibilities of raw magic have made them immensely powerful, immensely decadent, and immensely arrogant. All who seek the power of magic make an unknown and unseen pact with them, which the Hecatites resent due to their belief that all magic was once theirs and should remain such.
Therefore, the more powerful mortal wizards and witches are in life, the more subjected they become in death. Sunset Shimmer, a former Alicorn Princess before death lay claim to her, has found this the hard way along with her mentor.
Sunset shudders as her master’s immense bovine girth slides into her, barely able to breath as the heady aroma of his musky fur fills her senses and the overwhelming crushing weight of the mana bath soaks into her body. Her master - she cannot grasp his name or any word he speaks - seems to growl in frustration at her resistance to him, and she feels her body go limp with a thought as he crushes her body against his further, slowly immersing himself and her in the liquid energy.
“Don’t worry, Master,” Twilight moans as his tail slips into her ass and she annoints his dark fur with holy oils. “Sunset’s just stubborn, is all. She’ll learn to love it soon enough.”
And indeed she must…for that is her eternal fate as one who gave up her afterlife for mortal power.

What I’d like to know is whether or not the servitude is a permanent state or just the first stage of a magic user’s stay in the Ebonmere.
Is Twilight better able to better comprehend their Master because she was more powerful than Sunset, because Twilight has accepted her servitude to the Hecatites, or because Twilight’s been in the Ebonmere longer than Sunset? For all we know, there’s a slow period of metamorphosis over eons in which magic users eventually become Hecatites themselves, or perhaps all Hecatites that currently exist were the magic users that now serve them due to the extreme amounts of magic affecting time in strange ways.

The main reason I did that was to make the two stand out from one another, and tan Twilight is about the only thing I like from the Spidermane series. XD
Possibly nothing. Sunset is the fucking paragon of waifu. It’s amazing how she went from a mediocre hottie in a bad film to a character so beloved that you’re safer drawing abuse art of Peridot than defaming Lady Bacon.

However, this one involves the afterlife, and I have a lot of anxiety over what happens after death. So I guess the colored my initial reaction.
What about it is logically confusing to you? Personally, I think she looks much better this way.
Ponies could be the terms of an agreement. The fact they are innately more magical is because of what they are destined to become. Their magic in this life lets them influence the world towards Heaven or Hell, but they themselves are doomed to a very special place. So while every other species is influenced by them and they can go to Heaven or Hell based on their actions, ponies themselves, despite their generally good nature, are not as burdened by these choices.
Pretty sure most Earth Pony farmers use some magic. And all Ponies with Cutie Marks are likely getting a passive magic buff.
You really think Heaven and Hell would tolerate being denied a whole species? There would be a treaty of some sort, either due to threat of war or as a result of one, specifying that only serious magic users can be taken by the Hecatites, with Trixie being the minimum. Heaven and Hell are not going to be denied their pound of flesh.

Personally, I’m a fan of ironic twists of fate, so a demon that personifies Sloth to slowly make it’s way over and into Rainbow Dash would be pretty dope. For someone so fast and agile to ultimately lose to something so slow and heavy sounds pretty neat!
