What? I was saying, it in it’s actual use without people belittling it, it’s basically impossible to make a joke about it in anything resembling good taste.
In what way is that a “no”? That’s exactly how people mockingly use the word when they want to attack the concept of considering people’s feelings.
No, relegating “triggers” to things so mundane, nonsensical, and sometimes integral to life in civilization when they were meant as a serious concept is a much larger push towards making it a joke.

I’d blame the people who actually consider other people’s feelings to be a joke for turning it into a joke.
It’s Gore
I don’t even know who that is, but they’re typically “triggered” by people who disagree with them.
I’ll never understand why people are so afraid of him.
lolol.
Actually, real psychologists are typically against the idea of trigger warnings. People need to learn to deal with things because they do come up in real life. Sheltering against it only makes it worse for a few reasons. They never learn to deal with it and/or accept it, and on top of that, it’s very much similar in some way to how compulsions form; by reacting to a mental impulse, it validates it and reinforces the neural pathways making it stronger and more likely to happen in the future.
Not to mention, trigger warnings don’t even really help in the short term, because it’s like, “This picture has a pink elephant - don’t click it or you’ll think of pink elephants!”
You’ve still brought it up with the warning…
Addendum: If you just google “trigger warnings psychology” you’ll get a lot of results on the topic, but here’s the first one, as a citation for what I’m saying.

You mean the one person who went on a rant about “gore” on a pic that was actually a chopped up pomegranate Xp
I’d blame the people who get “triggered” by watermelons or pictures of meat or whatever for turning it into a joke.
This image really wasn’t meant to apply to people who have war flashbacks when they hear a trashcan fall down or something.
Unfortunatly people like that can’t expect everyone to go out of there wat to hide things like say… idk penguins (legit saw someone getting mad at people for not tagging penguins once) but for things like gore, mentions of suicide, abuse, nsfw, and stuff like that I an understand.
But for people whos depression, anxiety, panic atacks, exc do get triggered often it can be kinda upsetting to sea triggers being turned into a joke.

It’s making fun of those tumblrettes who overuse it and act as if they have legitimate ptsd.

I didn’t notice that until after it looped once, though :p
I mean, I knew it looked closer, but I wasn’t sure whether it did that or it was just my perception Xp
You know how sometimes if you watch stuff loop too much they look like they’re moving when they’re not?… That sort of thing.
It does get closer.
and you go outside with a machete…
